365betÓéÀÖ reagents in storage often due to improper storage and deterioration of some reagents easily hygroscopic and hydrolysis;Some readily react with oxygen, carbon dioxide, or other gases diffusing in the air, while others deteriorate under the influence of light and ambient temperature.



Therefore, according to the different physical and chemical properties of different biological reagents, our technical staff to commonly used chemical reagents preservation matters summarized as follows:


1) The Volatility


a.Oil Seal 

b.Water Seal 

c.Wax Seal



2) Moisture proof 


a.Sodium peroxide should be wax seal, prevent water absorption decomposition or water absorption explosion sodium hydroxide easy water absorption delirious, should be wax seal;Sodium sulfate is easy to water knot, pour out, so as to lead to reagent bottle rupture, should also be sealed tightly.


b.Calcium carbide anhydrous copper sulfate phosphorus pentoxide silica gel is easy to water metamorphism, red is easy to be oxidized, and then water generated phosphoric acid, all the above should be stored in a dryer.


c.Although concentrated sulfuric acid should be sealed to prevent water absorption, but because it is commonly used, it should be put into the grinding bottle, the grinding stopper should be original, do not switch.


3) The Degeneracy control 


a.Oxidation prevention: sodium sulfite / sulfate ferrous/  thiosulfate sodium are  easy to be oxidized, the bottle mouth should be coated with wax;

b. Prevent carbonation: sodium silicate/ sodium peroxide/ caustic soda are easy to absorb carbon dioxide, should be coated wax;

c. Anti-weathering: crystal sodium carbonate/ crystal copper sulfate  should be wax sealed, stored in the basement;

d.Anti-decomposition: ammonium bicarbonate/ concentrated nitric acid are easily decomposed by heat, and stored in the basement after being coated with wax;

e.Activated carbon can absorb a variety of gases and metamorphism,(charcoal is the same), should be put in a dryer place.

f.Yellow phosphorus is prone to spontaneous combustion in the air, and water is always stored in the water. Check the water every 15 days: Add water to the phosphorus reagent bottle and place it in the water tank, then add a bell jar and close it;

g. Sodium/ potassium are preserved in kerosene;

h.Drop a few drops of dilute sulfuric acid in ferrous sulfate solution, add excess fine iron powder, wax seal;

i. The glucose solution is easy to mold, a few drops of formaldehyde can be preserved;

j.Formaldehyde is easy to polymerize, and a small amount of methanol should be added immediately after opening the bottle.Acetaldehyde is added to ethanol.


4)Photoprotection

a.Silver nitrate, concentrated nitric acid and most organic medicines should be stored in brown bottles;

b.Nitrate stored in the basement protects against heat, light, fire and shock;

c.All organic reagent Windows are dyed with black paint;

d.Laboratory color cloth curtain, inner infrared black double layer.


5)The Poison


a.Phosphorus, nitric acid, silver and chloric acid should be put in the underground room, double lock, establish a file, submit batch access, use records, regular inspection;


b.Calcium phosphide, aluminum phosphide release phosphide after water absorption, should be stored in a dryer, labeled with a red label;


c.Because there is no fume hood, lime is often applied to the floor to absorb certain toxic gas phase substances;

d.Strong acid, strong base bromophenol and other corrosive drugs, use the red label, as a warning.


6) Anti-vibration
