Description:

binding of mannose by Escherichia coli.

Application:

1.Methyl α-D-mannopyranoside has been used to synthesize a series of tri- and tetrahydroxylated seven-membered iminosugars in a study that worked towards a stable noeuromycin analog with a D-manno configuration. It has also been used in a study to investigate the primary mannose binding site of pradimicin A.

2.Methyl a-D-mannopyranoside Is a competitor inhibitor of the binding of mannose by Escherichia coli. It is also used as a pharmaceutical raw material, health care product and intermediate. It is also been used as Animal Pharmaceuticals.
