Description:Quinoxaline-2-carbaldehyde (QCA) is an organic compound that is widely used in a variety of scientific applications.It has been shown to exhibit antibacterial activity against E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. The mechanism of action of this compound is not well understood, but it may be due to the structural analog of quinoxalines which are known for their antibacterial activity. 2-Quinoxalinecarboxaldehyde has also been shown to have anticancer properties in tissue culture experiments.
